Controversy has reared its ugly head over, what some are deeming as, a suggestive undergarment from High School Musical apparel collection.

The undergarment in question is a pair of panties for children that has the phrase “Dive In” written across the front. The phrase refers to a line in the movie that is said as kids dive into a pool. However, some parents and watchdogs of good taste see putting a phrase such as that on children’s underpants as something inappropriate. Those who have a problem with the garment also site that people who buy the underpants are being deceived because the phrase cannot be seen on the garment until it has been removed from the package.

In an interview published in New York Magazine, a spokesperson for Asda, the company that manufactures the controversial kid’s underwear explains that there was no harmful intent and that Disney, the producers of High School Musical, gave its approval of the item. Disney has since ceased the manufacture and sale of the item.

“It was completely innocent and certainly not meant to cause any offense to customers,” said the spokesperson. “However we will now consider our next steps in relation to the small number of items remaining on sale.”

VCX’s upcoming release of “Johnny Wadd” not only marks the first time the classic 1973 title will ever appear on home video but also one of the most exhaustive restoration and transfer efforts for an adult film. It also gives fans a rare glimpse into adult moviemaking during the Golden Age.

“Johnny Wadd” was the first of a series of films featuring the iconic X-rated private investigator played by the legendary John Holmes and helmed by one of the industry’s first great directors, Bob Chinn. The movie was brought to DVD from a print that had only been shown once using a “wet gate transfer” — running the film through a liquid preservative as it is being transferred, making it look almost new because the process also hides fingerprints, oxidation and scratches — bringing the classic film to the digital age.

“The picture quality is amazing and it’s really something the fans will really enjoy,” VCX President David Sutton said. “The colors pop, which is very rare for an adult film made in the ’70s. And it’s a very sexy film. There are some great sex scenes. Let’s not forget what John Holmes was famous for!”

Sutton also brought Chinn out of retirement to provide a commentary track for the movie. The award winning director, that was the inspiration for Burt Reynold’s character in “Boogie Nights,” also participated in a rare on-screen interview exclusively shot for the DVD release of “Johnny Wadd.”

Sutton described the commentary track as “funny, informative and most of all entertaining,” with Chinn going into details such as producing the movie on a shoestring budget and dodging the police as they shot. Expanding on the commentary, Chinn talks about moviemaking in the ’70s, working with John Holmes and using Hollywood stuntmen in another in another project, “Tropic of Desire,” during a knockdown drag-out bar fight. That clip, among others, is included in the interview portion of the DVD.

“VCX is very proud to be able to bring ‘Johnny Wadd’ to the fans for the first time since it’s been in the theaters,” Sutton added. “This movie is a complete package, with a great transfer and a rare commentary track by Bob Chinn and an even rarer interview. We’ve even included two free classic movies in Windows Media Video format for them to enjoy as well as four bonus scenes and four great trailers. This movie deserves nothing less than the best and that’s what we’re delivering to the fans!”

The raid of Tokyo Sauna on Highway 287 n Broomfield, Colorado also involved the arrest of Gregory Lancaster, 65 for patronizing a prostitute as well as 54-year-old Kathy Lee for prostitution charges.

Mi Sook You had allegedly been operating the illegal sex for pay operation at the Tokyo Sauna since July of this year.

US Weekly is reporting that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi will be getting married this weekend in a small ceremony in California.

There had been much speculation in tabloids over the last few weeks that the celebrated lesbian couple would be tying the knot soon in a large, star-studded ceremony. However, US Weekly reports that those in attendance at the ceremony will only include family members and a few close friends. The wedding is said to be taking place this weekend, though the actual date and the venue for the nuptials was not reported in the story.

Both DeGeneres and de Rossi have hinted publicly that they intended to get married since the California Supreme Court had officially ruled in favor of making same-sex marriages legal. The couple have also spoken publicly about some of the guests they plan to invite. Actor T. R. Knight’s name was mentioned as an intended guest. Knight is the “Grey’s Anatomy” cast member who was the victim of a reported anti-gay slur that was cast upon him by former cast-mate Isaiah Washington.

The Associated Press reports that a London man has been banned from visiting his girlfriend’s residence by the Brighton and Hove City Council, due to complaints from neighbors about noisy sex.

32-year-old Adam Hinton is now prohibited from going within 100 meters (110 yards) of the apartment complex where his girlfriend, Kerry Norris, 29 resides. The apartment complex is publicly owned, and Norris’ neighbors have been complaining about the noisy sex coming from her apartment when Hinton visits since 2006. The complaints made by neighbors include thumping music, banging headboards, and screamed obscenities being heard coming from Norris’ apartment. It is also reported that a six-year-old child had been traumatized by Norris’ behavior, which also includes her sunbathing nude in her yard where she can easily be seen by people passing by.

A spokesman for the city council said that Hinton was officially banned from the apartment due to Norris ignoring a previous court order that she be quieter during sex with her boyfriend. Norris was also fined 300 pounds (US$560) for breaking the previous “noise abatement order.”

In London, The Sun is reporting that Mark David Chapman, the man convicted of murdering John Lennon has been having annual sex sessions during conjugal visits with his wife for the last 16 years.

Prison officials have confirmed that Chapman is allowed 44 hours alone with his wife in a private room. The room has no cameras or guards inside, and the conjugal visitation privilege is part of Attica Correctional Facility’s “family reunion” program. Chapman joined the program in 1992.

Chapman is serving a 20-to-life sentence in Attica after being convicted of shooting John Lennon outside of the former Beatle’s home at the Dakota building in New York back in December of 1980.

Since his imprisonment, Chapman has made four bids for parole and has been denied each time. He is currently preparing for another bid at freedom, claiming that the mental illness that led to him killing Lennon is a condition he no longer suffers from.

This summer in Sweden, state-run pharmacies began selling sex toys over the counter. Now, according to a story posted on Timesonline.co.uk, these pharmacies are being asked to defend themselves before the Equal Opportunities Ombudsman, which is the Swedish body that overseas cases and charges of discrimination, because the sex toys available at these establishments are only those which are designed for women.

One protester of this alleged sex toy double standard believes that Swedish the pharmacy chain, Apoteket has a “misguided and untrue view of sexuality whereby a woman with a dildo is seen as liberated, strong and independent, while a man with a blow-up plastic vagina is viewed as disgusting and perverted.” However, Eva Fernvall the head of retailing for Apoteket offered a defense for the choices of sex toys sold by their store chain. “As I understand it, there are no products of good quality on the market for men,” said Fernvall. “Should there be such products specifically for men, then there is nothing stopping us from selling them.”

This is not the first issue that men have brought before the EOO citing preferential treatment for women over men. Swedish males took issue with bars and clubs lowering the age restriction for women to enter in order to attract more male patrons. Now it is written into law that this practice is illegal. Other gender issue changes include dating services now not being able to charge women a lesser rate than men for membership.

A judge has ruled that Penthouse Media Group Inc. must face former chairman and Penthouse Magazine founder, Robert Guccione’s lawsuit challenging his dismissal.

Penthouse Media Group and its principals, Marc Bell and Daniel Staton are being sued by Guccione, as the former Penthouse publisher is claiming breach of contract for not keeping him on as a consultant after they brought the company out of bankruptcy in 2004. Guccione was allegedly supposed to be paid $500,000 a year for his role as a consultant.

It is reported that Guccione was offered the consultant position for ten years in exchange for conveying ownership of Penthouse trademarks and not filing a claim for severance, according to a 2005 complaint filed by the former publisher. However, not long after the company emerged from bankruptcy, Guccione was dismissed for not giving up his rights to U.K. trademarks.
